A Protopage is an Aggregate Web 2.0 tool, which I created for ETEC 527, that allows you to organize all of your web based information, links, and feeds in one location. This is an interesting site because of its ability to allow you to organize all your varied interest into one concise place. You can view all the feeds you subscribe to as well as give the reader a view into your personal life without being very involved. Mine is still in the process of being changed and reevaluated as to how I wish to showcase myself.
I still have trouble maneuvering through the site to make the changes that I wish and to add different information. This project was easy to set up, but there is still a lot that I have to learn about its use. What I do like about it is that it was created by a fourth grade teacher for her students and parents to keep up with class activities. If I want to see everything at one time I don't have to bounce from site to site everything is in one concise place. It is user friendly and not hard to navigate from place to place or to add items. It is definitely a fun page. I hope you enjoy reviewing it as I have had creating it.
As a result of these investigations I discovered that I enjoy Twitter and Tumblr. I don't post a lot but I find very interesting individuals and organizations that I learn a lot from by following their sites. Also, I have added more YouTube programs to follow and even through I used YouTube to teach myself how to do many interesting projects; I still did not use it to its fullest until I learned by improving my skills through this ETEC journey. Now I am planning to create a series of videos based on my many varied informal learning ventures and interest.
